Autobiography

jodiegoff-86My name is Jodie Goff, and I am a classically trained Mezzo Soprano located in Boston, MA. My love of singing began with children’s choir over 20 years ago. I proceeded to study voice throughout high school under Alisa Kay Sloan in Atlanta, GA, under whom I gained appreciation for the world of classical singing. Also during this time, I peformed with the GACS A Cappella Chorus directed by Mr. John Chaffin.

Upon graduation from high school, I earned a music scholarship to attend Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. While obtaining my undergraduate degree in business, I minored in music, studied voice and performed under the direction of Mr. James Bohart for the Choral Guild of Atlanta and Dr. Irwin Ray for the Oglethorpe University Singers and Chorale. During my Senior Year, I served as the Soprano Cantor for St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church directed by Ingrid Siegert and performed as a solosit for other Atlanta-area churches.

In 2001, I moved to northern Virginia where I continued to sing with church choirs and perform for numerous weddings, funerals and special events. In 2007, I relocated to Charlotte, NC, where I sang with an Adult Choir and Chamber Choir under the direction of Mr. John Herrick.  I recently relocated to Boston, MA with my best friend and husband, Todd, and our two wonderful daughters.
